Complete strip out and refurbishment of the listed building under the supervision of Grosvenor Estates and working in conjunction with our Client and his Architects. The work entailed excavating the rear to provide a larger kitchen and breakfast room, also facilitating an orangery in traditional hardwood with lead flashing keeping in the character of the building. To tank all of the basement areas and install new drainage. To install five new bathrooms with walk in showers, five bedrooms and two living and one dining areas with small staff quarters. The roof was stripped off, rebuilt using Welsh Slate and dormers reformed. All brickwork was re-pointed. The house was completely rewired with a new cooling system and underfloor heating. All joinery was completely bespoke with walk in wardobes with Cedar linings, Walnut floors and handmade carpets.
