Overview

The building was in a dilapidated condition. The works comprised a new structural frame inside the building’s shell, primarily, to receive rooftop apartments at a later date. The design was sympathetic to the industrial heritage of the original building. This was achieved by designing open and exposed ceilings, including mechanical and electrical equipment, such as ventilation ducts, light fittings, etc. Materials, in their natural form, such as concrete stairs, copper reception desk, and exposed original brickwork walls, etc were used to celebrate the industrial feel.
