Overview

Complete new build on top of an existing Victorian five-storey commercial office block, consisting of a two-storey extension with large balconies, courtyard entrance to all apartments and lift from the ground floor. The works consisted of all liaison with all Council and Legal bodies, the logistical and management liaison was paramount to a smooth running of a very difficult and specialist scheme with tenants already occupying the five floors below, all works had a certain timeframe for loud noisy works and weekly meetings with the tenants to discuss various difficult works that may affect their staff. The 4th floor consisted of five apartments of one 3 bed, two 2 bed and two 1 bed, all with balconies with a fantastic view of London Skyline. The 5th floor consisted of three apartments, all with 2 beds and of course the balconies and amazing view. The commercial areas consisted of new stairs, new lift and bin stores on each floor, courtyard planters and plant rooms. The roof held the A/C plant, extract, fresh air and solar panels. The external cladding was a bronzed zinc cladding with black powder-coated Schuco windows and patio doors, balcony privacy screens and Spruce decking. Interior with cooling A/C, underfloor heating, soundproof walls and ceilings, Haecker kitchens with Miele appliances, and Ash flooring throughout with Blue Limestone to the Bathrooms. All work reached a BREEAM Very Good rating and was conducted under CSH Lifetime Homes Design Guidelines.
